A 1,500' vertical drop makes Snowshoe Mtn. the biggest ski mountain in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Just a one mile shuttle ride away, the Silver Creek area is excellent for novices. Snowshoe is an "upside down" mountain.

A wide variety of lodges, condominiums, and restaurants sit atop the mountain while the resort's inn sits at the base.
